Title permissions

Whether a title teaches, whether it supervises, and the level at which it approves.

What it is for

Job titles are added on their own page. Here the school says of each title whether it teaches or supervises, and its approval level from 1 to 9.

Who uses it

The page opens for whoever holds “View title permissions”, to look only, or “Manage the school: its schools, stages, grades, classes, subjects and calendar”, to work in it. In the built-in roles: Owner, Manager, Team member, Principal. They are granted to any role under Settings → Roles and permissions.

Step by step

1. The pencil on a title's row, to tick teaching and supervisory and type the approval level.
2. To update many: “Import title permissions”, by code.

How it works

A title grants nothing: what a person may do comes from their roles. The flags are the group's, so only whoever holds the «Manage the school» key over the whole group changes them.

Questions

Does “teaching” give its holder a permission?

No; it is a description other modules read later, and permissions come from roles.
