Grades
Each stage's grades by level.
Open the page in SchoolOSWhat it is for
A grade is a level in a stage (first primary is level 1 in primary). Every school shares them, and their classes are made on the «Classes» page.
Who uses it
The page opens for whoever holds “View grades”, to look only, or “Manage the school: its schools, stages, grades, classes, subjects and calendar”, to work in it. In the built-in roles: Owner, Manager, Team member, Principal. They are granted to any role under Settings → Roles and permissions.
Step by step
- Press “+ Add grade”, choose the stage and type the level (1 to 20) and the name.
- Narrow the list to one stage with the filter.
- To change the name or level: the pencil. To delete a grade: the bin.
How it works
A level is held by one grade of a stage. A grade is ordered by its stage, then its level. The English name is set when a grade is added, so an edit never loses it. Deleting deactivates: its classes stay in their years.
On the page
- Narrow the list to one stage to see only its grades.
- “Import grades” from an Excel file to add many grades at once.
- The grades by stage and level, and how many classes each has.
- “+ Add grade”: the stage, the level and the name.
Questions
- Why was a level refused?
- The stage already has a grade at that level.
- How do I delete a record in “Deleted” permanently?
- From the “Deleted” tab: “Delete permanently” on the record, or “Delete all permanently” above the tab after typing the count, which takes every deleted record of the kind in all of {{customer.the}}, whatever the page's filter shows. It takes the “Permanent delete” permission, the owner's, and a fresh code from the authenticator app each time. A record other records still point to stays, and what holds it is named. A person's record has its personal data erased that night, and a row with no name stays in the records. The backups keep a copy for a few weeks, then it is gone.
