School calendar

The exceptions to the weekend, from which each school's school days are counted.

What it is for

The weekend is what the group set. Here you record what departs from it: a holiday that takes a school day away, an exam day or an event that stays a school day, or a weekend day worked that brings one back.

Who uses it

The page opens for whoever holds “View the school calendar”, to look only, or “Manage the school: its schools, stages, grades, classes, subjects and calendar”, to work in it. In the built-in roles: Owner, Manager, Team member, Principal. They are granted to any role under Settings → Roles and permissions.

Step by step

1. Pick the year in the list at the top of the page.
2. Press “+ Add a day”, choose the date, the kind and the school (or “Every school”), and write a label if you wish.
3. For a holiday of several days (a feast, a national day, a term break): fill “To” with the last day, and a day is written for each date, up to 60 days. A date already set for that school is skipped and counted, never replaced.
4. To change a day's kind or label: the pencil. To cancel it: the bin.

How it works

Only a holiday and a day with no attendance take a school day away, and a workday brings a weekend day back. A school's own day beats the group's for the same date, and a school has one live day per date. The head office has no school days. A day must fall inside a live year, and the school days of its date are laid out again at every change. Cancelling a day deactivates it, and it counts for nothing.

How many school days does my school have?

The count is at the top of the page for each school, in the year shown.

How do I delete a record in “Deleted” permanently?

From the “Deleted” tab: “Delete permanently” on the record, or “Delete all permanently” above the tab after typing the count, which takes every deleted record of the kind in all of {{customer.the}}, whatever the page's filter shows. It takes the “Permanent delete” permission, the owner's, and a fresh code from the authenticator app each time. A record other records still point to stays, and what holds it is named. A person's record has its personal data erased that night, and a row with no name stays in the records. The backups keep a copy for a few weeks, then it is gone.
